Our friend and video editing godess, Aymee Cruzalegui (she edited our documentary, check it out on our video gallery UP THERE), sent us this link today about the Frankencar Project. We were super happy to see that a young guy from Sherwood, OR, named Jason Weitz is looking for funding to do a project very similar to ours! The coolest thing is that he has found some new technology to make his lead acid batteries go way further! We just got some bumper stickers from his site to help him with the funding… at least a little bit… Check out his site and contribute, if you can… they got really cool merchandising.

GO EV brother!
Oh, also, we though to ourselves: where the hell is Sherwood, OR. It would take us a couple of charges to go visit young Jason… here are the directions Trip distance: 3288.475291.9 mi Time: 48 hrs 15 mins.

We are back after a while of not blogging much, but now we have really good news!!! Yesterday we gave the first EV Charging station to the Commissioner of the City of Miami Beach, Saul Gross. Thanks to hs support and the help of the Sustainability Committee, we are now going to have charging stations in the City of Miami Beach. The stations and the installation will be donated to the city by the Florida Electric Auto Association, as part of their Florida Electric Highway project.
With many EVs about to come out from big automaker’s plants, the new Tesla dealership to open in our area and plug in hybrid conversion rebates from the state starting soon, we expect these charging stations to be used a lot. They will be located in some of the Miami Beach parking lots (close to Lincoln rd, Ocean drive, South Point, etc.) in spots reserved for EVs, Hybrids and other alternative fuel vehicles; and the charge will be free!
Here is an Article in the Miami Herald we came out in that is all about this initiative!
Stay tuned! more details to come!
