We had a meeting with Luis Valenzuela. He gave us some really good news about the show during Art Basel. Our car will be part of a way bigger event than we originally though: Green Art Fair - Miami 2008.

“During the high art and design season in Miami Dec 2008, green art fair MIAMI 2008 will be an awe-inspiring, never-before experienced single point of contact for the green art and design world, eco-friendly businesses and individuals interested in moving the environmental friendly movement forward.” A tent the size of a whole city block will host this fair and we’ll be part of it!

Now the pressure on finishing it for December is really on! We can’t say much about the event yet, but we’ll tell you soon!

It’s official, we decided we are going to build a full electric car, no hybrid, no hydrogen, no nothing. Just batteries and an electric motor. We are going to call this “the Miami EV project”. EV for Electric Vehicle.

After having an enlightening talk with a chemist friend, he explained why running the car only on hydrogen was not really possible (you need A LOT of liquid cooled hydrogen to run a car), at least for a home made project like ours. Too complicated! That finished the hydrogen conversation.

We found a link on hydrogen generators to fuel a car. We are a bit skeptical, but we’ll check it out.

We watched many videos in YouTube of crazy cars we really liked (atom, etc). We decided that we need to do some type of project that involves messing with a car but will help the environment
